Meditation and Mental Health

Taking a few minutes to meditate every day with the goal of becoming more mindful, or focused on and accepting of the present, is a great way to relieve stress. But it’s even more powerful than you think.

Meditating helps ease mental health conditions like depression and anxiety much so, that some clinicians are trying it as a course of treatment before turning to medication. No joke.

You can start by meditating every day first thing in the morning or at the end of the day. It’s something I do privately in the evening for just 5 minutes. You can even practice while you’re still lying in bed. It’s the best way to start your day with a peaceful, centered mindset which is a mental state we should all strive to be in.
