-The “IT” shoe that is.
The Row, Ginza Leather Suede Platform Flip Flops
The Row’s Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen understand that busy lifestyles call for practical yet stylish shoes, like these ‘Ginza’ flip flops. They’ve been made in Italy from smooth leather and suede and have cushioned insoles so you can comfortably wear them all day. Styling them with anything from suiting to dresses and everyday looks. They’re such versatile shoes to have and really go with anything. They’re a designer must-have in my books.

The Row, Gaia Woven Leather Sandals
Scrolling through The Row’s mood-board and you’ll quickly see how the labels pieces are influenced by minimal interiors, art and sculpture. Expertly woven in Italy from panels of smooth black leather, these “Gaia” sandals give a nod of traditional fisherman styles. Set on chunky soles, they’re ideal for running errands, between meetings and gallery exhibitions.

Bottega Veneta, Quilted Leather Mules
Bottega Veneta was a big winner at the fashion awards 2019, mainly for the fresh way in which Daniel Lee is approaching the house’s codes. Part of the Resort 2020 collection these mules have been made in Italy from black leather that’s quilted to resemble the signature intrecciato technique. They’re set on slim hurl and have an exaggerated square toe.

Bottega Veneta, Intrecciato Quilted Leather Mules
The cult appeal of Bottega Veneta’s shoes was one of the big topics discussion during fashion month. Made in Italy from a buttery beige leather this pair has artfully woven quilted straps, a re-imagined take on the house’s iconic intrecciato technique. The soft padded soles mean they’ll serve you well through evening parties and events.

Magda Butrym, Sweden Leather Sandals
The leather ‘Sweden’ sandals are designed with barely there straps and 90s – inspired square toes. They have fluted 80mm heels (the chunky kind) that are very comfortable enough for the hours upon hours of wear you’ll get out of them.

Christian Louboutin, Viberta 55 Leather Mules
These are reminiscent of styles you’d see all over the red carpet in the 90s. Crafted in Italy from supple black leather, they have supportive toe strap and 55mm block heel for comfortable lift. Wear them with a slip dress or cropped denims.

Proenza Schouler, Birkenstock Arizona Topstitched Glossed Leather Sandals
For this collaboration Proenza adds a sporty, contemporary touch to the brands iconic ‘Arizona’ sandals. These have been made in Germany from glossy black leather and topped with white topstitching. They have the signature moulded footbeds for comfort and the new adjustable straps.

Prada, Nomad Logo Print Rubber snd Leather Trimmed Canvas Sandals
These are stylish and comfortable, making them a trusty choice during the summer. They have buckled canvas strap finished with leather trims and rest on gripped platform soles. The logo detailed Velcro tabs ensure the perfect fit. Wear yours with everything from tailoring to tea dresses. These are definitely a nice take on the ‘ugly sandal’.
