The Designer Edit – Part Two

Another share on my recent designer/brand discovery. Just like products I love discovering new and even familiar fashion designers and/ brands. If you should know I did a designer edit (Read here: The Designer Edit – Part One) where I showcased five brands I do look for inspiration to. This post is another share of five recent brands I’ve been eyeing, check it out.

1. Isabelle Fox,

The fashion brand for the modern woman. The brand designs items that create a timeless silhouette and contemporary sensibility. Isabelle creates beautiful clothes using traditional couture techniques with the highest quality fabrics. Clothes that look and feel good but don’t cost the earth.

2. Olivia Rose The Label,

Olivia Rose The Label is a small independent British slow fashion label founded by Olivia Rose Havelock. This brand really stood out for because the making process includes Olivia individually designing, fabric sourcing, cutting out, sewing, stitching, steaming, labelling, packaging and sending off each individual item solo. Tell me that’s not hardworking and inspiring. Each item has a personalised handwritten note and she keeps things slow and special.

2. LemLem,

Artisan-driven collection of women’s, men’s, children’s and home goods made entirely in Africa. Founded by supermodel Liya Kebede, Lemlem meaning ‘to bloom and flourish‘ is committed in elevating artisanship and expanding production and jobs across Africa. I love that women are the heart of the brand and its commitment to helping them thrive both within workships and beyond.

HEY! Did you know: Liya Kebede an accomplished supermodel, actress, designer and maternal health advocate.

4. Theory,

Recognising the need for clothes that felt great and fit perfectly. Never before has American sportswear been so easy to wear to work and everywhere else. Both male and female clothing have similar foundation principles. Dressed in innovative, highly functional and stylish clothes.

5. Gerbase,

A new multidisciplinary label founded by London-based designer and creative director Paula Gerbase. The label is a non-seasonal unisex brand that focuses on the modern wardrobe. A regained uncompromising outlook on a daily uniform. The brand celebrates both hand-craft and industrial practices.

Let’s chat! Did you recently just discover a brand or know of a brand you think I should check out please do comment and I’ll check it out.
