The Weekender Series – Staycation, Birthday Celebration & New Shoes

In addition to blog more I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll include visuals of what I wore, views, location and food. I’ll compile images from both the weekday and weekend. It’s a vlog but written, titled, the weekender.

Hi Loves! Just another series of storytelling through images and sharing what I did on the weekend. I know this series showcases all the things I do on the weekend but there is a twist in this particular post. It does run through the week. So please join me as I share all the things I got up to.

November 19th,

So, someone is not big on birthday celebrations but I had to nag for us to go on a staycation and be together for his special day. Yes, his birthday. I wanted us to do something very intimate and indoors so I made dinner and did a cute, indoor picnic vibe for us to just chill at. IT WAS AMAZING! I’m glad he liked it because I was so unsure on whether I did it the way he would like it. We had a pasta dish with white wine and that literally filled us so we didn’t have birthday cake. Nonetheless, it was an amazing moment and I’m glad we got to celebrate the day dedicated to your existence. Also, miss #beyhive only recently watched Homecoming.

November 20th,

DISCLAIMER: this part of the post shows a very flattering, stunning and minimal garment. So, we had lunch at a familiar spot around the Linden area called Gaucho. The vibe is really good and so is the food. I ordered a spaghetti bolognese dish and J had a specially made steak sandwhich which was so good! Shout out to the waitress who recognized us and served us some extra chips! FAB DINER which is literally a two second walk from the restuarant and it’s such a pretty space and vibe was our location for dessert. Also, one more time for this beautiful asymmetrical top which is from Superbalist.

November 21st,

HAPPY SATURDAY! This was such an exciting part of the trip for me (besides celebrating someone’s birthday) because J surprised me with new shoes. I didn’t even have the words to describe how excited I was (and still am). I am in love with the designs of these babies and can’t wait to style around them. They’re perfect for elevating an outfit and turning it from day to night. Another exciting part of that day was getting the WBeauty skincare range from Woolworths. We also tried out pizza from a spot in Parkhurst that we’ve been raving to try called the Urban Braza. The food was really good. I also want to add that I did the Garnier sheet mask and you can check out my review that I did on a separate post [ Read Here : Your skin will say merci ].

November 22nd,

Sundays are for taking it easy and taking time out. We had birthday cake and a traditional mac & cheese with avo, of course. I also tried out an under eye mask from Woolworths and it was so good. I’m definitely gonna give it a try again. I also tried out an outfit with one of the new shoes I got and of course I loved it. We than kicked it off with a movie titled Midsommar and uh, it’s such an interesting storyline that leaves you glued to the screen.

November 23rd,

Monday was more of a chilled out day with work getting done. We tried out a Burrito meal from Woolworths and I got to take some snaps in the black heels I was gifted with. I’m so in love with them and I got to style them with J’s shirt from H&M which is just such a beaut!

November 24th,

And of course we went to Botanical Gardens the next day… a very chilled out day (if you can’t tell by my outfit) we just sat and enjoyed the views. I also got to capture a beautiful moment between two ducks.

November 25th,

A print filled Wednesday! I am so in love with this top from H&M. I paired it with denims which I got from the H&M curvy denim range and my pretty heels! I loved this combo so much I’ll definitely be rocking it again. Later that evening we had a salmon salad from Fish Monger.

Fin.
