It’s that time of the year where the overall look- makeup, hair, style is so important. I’ll be doing separate posts where I’ll be showcasing putting the perfect look for Christmas dinners, dates, lunches whatever it may be. I already did an outfits post [ Read Here : Festive Styling – What to wear to a Christmas Party.]. So, for team ‘always looking good’ let’s move onto the makeup look.
I for one love to recreate a makeup look for Christmas and since I haven’t been wearing makeup for a long time (on a makeup free skincare journey) I am without a doubt reaching out for my makeup bag to create a very minimal, yet classy look to compliment the day. Below I’ve put makeup looks that I feel will be very fun for a Christmas party and I added additional recommendations of makeup items that do work well in achieving an effortless look.

- A quick tip is choosing warm, bronze hues and products that have a lightweight, silky, soft texture especially considering that it’s an event where you’ll be cooking and serving (if you’re hosting) and maybe you may be spending time in an outdoor area (all thanks to COVID 19) so you do want products that won’t feel heavy and make you have to do touch-ups.
- If you’re looking to go a bit more extra this season try an all over glow-like product and highlight key features – think cheekbones, nose and cupid’s bow.
- A bold lip is super fun for the festive season. Try out some sultry reds, maroons, burgundy and browns.
- Always remember to choose a serum texture that is silky, lightweight and can quickly be absorbed to maintain your look.
