Date Night Styling – Valentine’s Day Edition

Once the table setting and mood is in place I think everything else will gradually follow like the outfit. Like they say, saving best for last and that’s exactly what we’re doing.

Check out 6 looks that I feel will work really well for a date night whether you’re going out or staying in these work well dressed as is with flats or sneakers or with sandals or heels. Keep scrolling and check out all the looks.

Ah Jacquemus, okay… if you remember this dress from somewhere it’s the one Gigi Hadid wore on the runway and it got super popular. She wore this dress in beige and I thought why not black. I think this dress will look great paired with a minimal makeup look and a very subtle sandal. And why not sneakers, right? If you’re more on the boyish look a great way to rock this dress is with sneakers and a blazer.

The perfect knit dress. I mean, it’s mid length, has a back vert for ease of movement and plunging v-neckline which frames beautifully. Talk about that colour too. I’ve also just discovered the REMAIN Birger Christensen brand and what better way than for this gorgeous piece to be the first item that pops up. This is such a elegant piece that can be worn with a statement pair of sandals and subtle jewelry. This one though I’d highly recommend for a date night out.

Okay, I know… green is not your first choice for an occasion like Valentine’s day but just hear me out. Midi, think stretch and structure, low sweetheart neckline and long sleeves falling past the wrists. Honestly, very easy to style and so chic. You can never go wrong with a dress in this style.

Look 4

When I saw this dress I immediately thought about the dress Kate Moss wore on the Calvin Klein Collection Fall 1996 ready-to-wear. Thin, shoulder strap, loose silhouette that skims your figure and split at the hem. I think a dress like this would look a lot more dreamy paired with contrast shoes and statement accessories.

Look 5

Ah Jacquemus… this light yellow linen mini dress is such a beaut. Draped, fly-over neckline and fitted bodice that hugs your curves. Honestly, I know a dream like this would obviously look great in statement heels BUT if you’re home flats sound great and all but how about a fun, dad trainer look with this? I know I’d without a doubt opt for that to just get more functionality out of the dress and move away from the top of the mind way to style it.

Look 6

So, I know this brand has really amazing dresses and I obviously had to throw in a girly look especially since the focus is dresses. I love the detailing on this dress and just like the Jacquemus dress I feel that this look can be rocked both casually and the more stylish you can get, right.
