Creatively Recreating your Workspace

Working from home as a creative can be hard especially when trying to creatively put pieces or add elements to a space where you often work. I for one find this to be the hardest thing to do because I’m constantly seeking new, innovative ways to play around with my content especially since my blog does constantly of a variety of categories with each category I do want each blog post to tell it’s own, unique visual story. Putting this post together was rather interesting for me because yes, this is the current dilemma- creatively recreating my workspace or corner. I know it doesn’t need to be a big deal but guess what? It is a BIG DEAL because I overthink and u just pay attention to details (even the smallest). Though I am slowly trying to find a good balance of playing around with the space I wanted to show different ways in which I try to add or even take away certain items to fit a specific post depending on the vision and idea I have in mind.

The feature,

I like looking into the smaller details around me like whether I want to include a mug or just take the picture with whatever I’m drinking at that moment (usually it boils down to either coffee or wine). Recently, I’ve been into adding a fashion magazine and anything statement I may have closeby like my bag. But this may also include the smaller details like a vase, a flowerpot, a throw or pillows on the couch.

The bigger details,

The couch, the background and even the space itself. Do I want to shoot close to the dressing board, a table, close to the window or have a desk peak somehow anything that may take majority of the image.

The mains,

These are definitely set on three things : the sunlight, the space I’m shooting at (whether it’s indoor or outdoor) and keeping that blog post in mind. So what if one happens to not be there? Well, it doesn’t stop me if one element doesn’t cut it. I often find that I’ll make it work irregardless because limiting myself will only push me back and delay a post I really want published on the site at a specific time.

Content creating all boils down to what you can achieve with what you have. Recreating spaces to do so shouldn take some thought especially if you’re aiming at a certain direction and if you’re looking to keep a consistent and good aesthetic.
