Why I Became a Blogger

I remember going through a period of trying to figure out ‘what is a blogger?’ and whether that was exactly who I wanted to be when I was dealing with the dilemma of trying to figure out how I can share my ideas, thoughts, writing and my creativity from both visuals and in words. After finally figuring out what a blogger does I know I had to jump straight into it. I finally had the opportunity to share all my ideas on a platform with people from all over the world. Being able to have control over my own site, write whatever I wanted felt good control over my own site (I mean it still does). I get to truly dive into my creative ‘me’ and share anything that the blog represents from tips or ideas I’ve learned in personal styling, beauty and my lifestyle which slowly also grew into my love for even skincare. The title of post is exactly that. I became a blogger because that’s truly the passion. I love writing and I love content creating (especially in relation to something I’ve written).

I sometimes still can’t believe how much my blog and myself as the blogger has grown both in it and with it. Celebrating three years not so long ago [Read Here: The Haut Aesthetics – 3 years in the making ] reminded me of how much this means to me. Also, a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey with me.

Below I share some startup tips for launching a blog or website and these are also useful and have helped me along the way.

Tips for starting your own website:

  • Research on how to setup or startup a website.
  • Choose a blog template and name suitable to who you are and what you plan on showcasing.
  • Work on pillar posts and content.
  • Start an email list.
  • Get traffic from social media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook or Twitter.
  • Monetize your blog.
  • Create content that sells.

Remember to have fun with it and enjoy the process of it all.
