Did you know? the skin around your eyes is very delicate and thin. So, yes you should be gentle with it. Because it is such a sensitive area, you may experience puffiness, dryness and dark under-eyes circles. The latter part is one thing I’ve been dealing with and can actually tell I will be ageing with is puffy eyes. In fact, puffy eyes are one of the most common concerns that most individuals deal with. and boy, oh boy! it’s tricky to treat and a lot more complicated than I thought.
Firstly, let’s try figure out what causes it. From researching I’ve gathered that puffy eyes retention in the periorbital area can be caused by day-to-day changes in our lifestyles. Some factors could be seasonal allergies, high sodium diets, excess alcohol consumption, crying and lack of sleep (mine is definitely from lack of sleep). With many options to treat the issue like dermal fillers, chemical peels, laser and light-based devices I wanted to share products that best rated in helping with puffy eyes. I also wanted to share my personal favourite product for under-eye issues which is from the Woolworths brand which is a Brightening Under-Eye Mask. I always lean towards these because they’re so underbudget and easy to just apply on. It’s a range of soothing eye mask treatments that help reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Each of these have special ingredients and this time I’m using the one with brown algae extract and vitamin C (talk about active ingredients from nature). So easy yet effective and I love that it’s suitable for all skin types and I really see an instant difference after use. Nothing beats a good under eye mask and if you do struggle with puffy eyes perhaps you should consider getting products aimed at that.
