In addition to blog more I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll include visuals of what I wore, views, location and food. I’ll compile images from both the weekday and weekend. It’s a vlog but written, titled, the weekender.
Join me as I share some of my recent activities including a visit to the game arcade and getting in touch with my inner child with J. We also went on a picnic, tried a new a new Dutch drink, order out Chinese food, and have a movie date.

Fridays are for self-care in my world. I decided to something that I probably shouldn’t have (considering that it’s winter) and had a wash day. I got such a bad cold from it but quickly recovered. I wore a pink monochromatic look for a blog post I was working on [ Read Here: Being at Peace is the Ultimate Position of Power ]. Spent the rest of my day recovering, taking meds and just taking care of myself and this cold.

Welcome to the weekend. I still wasn’t feeling my best but still did what was needed to be done. I tried out these golden oat bites from Woolworths but my cold was so bad I couldn’t really taste how good they were. J and I did a couple styling edit that you can check out [ Read Here: Transeasonal Looks – Couple Edition ] and we later changed and went to the mall to pick up a few things, had pizza and went for a quick coffee run because I am so addicted to the caramel frappuccino from Starbucks and spent the rest of the evening editing and proof reading work. We also had BGR for supper which was so good as per usual.

Sunday Sunday Sunday…have I mentioned how much I adore Sundays? There’s something so calming about the day. We went to the car wash to kill time for our movie. Yes, we watched The Conjuring 3 and just like the many memes out there about how jaw dropping and scary the movie is, I will say…IT WAS SCARY. I used to watch horror movies a lot when I was younger but there’s something about this one that had me freaked out, I think the fact that it’s based on a true story. We went to the game arcade which is actually next to the cinema and had so much fun. We actually never spent that much money and time at the arcade but it was so worth the moment and it was overall fun being kids for once.

Sabbath Day Word,
And just like God says in the book of Psalm 31:15, “My times are in your hands” at the right time, God will provide your need. At the right time, God will deliver you. At the right time, God will rescue you. It’s about believing and being patient through all the seasons and trusting that God and the universe will come through for you.

June 16
Happy Youth Day! Where I’m from (South Africa), June 16 is such an important day because it reminds us of the march students took in the year 1976 in the Soweto Uprising. Students protested against the apartheid system that limited black children’s education. Such significance. J and I decided to go on a picnic and went to our go-to Botanical Gardens in the Emmarentia area. We had such a good time doing something so easy and calming. It was a beautiful, calm day appreciating nature around us, the sun and some good food. We got some Chinese food, tried a Dutch cooler and had so much snacks. We later headed to Milky Lane to have some waffles and ice-cream and ended our day out pretty early.

See you on my next series. Take care and stay blessed. Sending you love and light.
