Styling the Quilted Jacket for Winter

This season quilting has taken an entirely new form and designers are also bringing out the design form in a new light. And just like the big designers including Bottega Veneta, smaller, emerging brands have done the same. As a minimalist, I feel like this trend is something I can bring into my wardrobe seamlessly. But I also feel like it’s a fun new way to try a trend and stay warm, no matter your style. I’ve spotted so many fabulous quilted pieces you can buy now [Read Here: A Trendy Quilt Edit ].

In this post I wanted to share three current go-to looks I’ve been loving and rocking when styling my quilted jacket.

Look 1

Boots, Joia
Pants, Oakridge (Mr Price)
Bag, Cotton On

A look I actually wore on my [ Read Here: ] post and keep finding myself going back to. It’s a minimum effort look that requires nothing but a good bottom (you can swap this for pants, denims etc), a good bag, boots and your quilted jacket of course. I love the minimal feel of this look and play on texture. The quilted jacket definitely gives the look a more fancy appeal.

Look 2

Pleated Skirt, Oakridge (Mr Price)
Boots, Joia
Bag, Cotton On

And just like the first look, if you want to swap the bottoms for something a lot more feminine a great way is to add a skirt. I love how the pleated skirt and quilt pattern come together and create a really fun yet fashionable look.

Look 3

Top, RT (Mr Price)
Pants, Oakridge (Mr Price)
Trainers, Maxed

This is definitely a fun, casual look. Instead of wearing the jacket all buttoned up, I wore a white top underneath and just like how I always wear my sandals for a casual touch I instead added my trainers.

If you do own a quilted jacket let me know what are your favourite ways to style it.
