The Weekender Series – Painting, Art Galleries & New Hair

In addition to blog more I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll include visuals of what I wore, views, location and food. I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll compile images from both the weekday and weekend. It’s a vlog but written, titled, the weekender.

Join me as I share my recent activities from getting my hair done, running errands, hike and visit an art gallery. J and I also watched the highly reviewed Squid Game, watch the new Venom movie and I get some content done.

Made it on time for my hair appointment and did a very simple hairstyle (as usual) and she did an amazing job. I’m so picky with who touches my hair and ever since I got in touch with this lady who did my previous braids [Read Here: The Braid Edit] I just trust her enough to keep getting my hair done by her. She’s so gentle especially around the edges and I really like that. I got back and did some content for the rest of the day. J made us really good chicken schnitzel, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes and cottage cheese on rolls. It was so good.

So honored that I featured on a poetry inspired page

We almost didn’t make it to the gallery in time but we also got there five minutes to closing time. The gallery was showcasing the work of Lady Skolie, 2021. It’s a cool setup and we’ll definitely be going back. Luckily, down the road there’s BKhz Gallery which we’ve been to before and they were showcasing Talia Ramkilawan which had very interesting love-related pieces on show. I love how her work is done using yarn using the rug-hooking technique. I’ve never seen work like that before so that was pretty exciting for me. Another gallery we’ve been to before and decided to check out was the Goodman Gallery. We later decided to watch Squid Game which I think most people do know about and honestly, if you’re contemplating it do give it a watch. Also, how breathtaking is HoYeon Jung? We had some sushi from Kung-Fu Kitchen which was so good (obsessed with sushi btw), ordered waffles from Paul’s HomeMade Ice-Cream and we went to Proud Mary to have some drinks. Our night ended pretty well with a day filled with activities. We both enjoyed it.

fine because we were able to still make it at a decent time to go hike only think is we were welcomed by the sun. We went to K and it’s just such a beautiful place to have a walk and/ hike around. It was so refreshing. We got home at a decent time to have a bath, I got some laundry done and we just chilled out because Sundays are about that, right? And yes, we had waffles.

Monday was a day of running errands and checking out some places for some projects that J is busy with. Okay, I have to say this mask is honestly the OG of masks. The reviews and hype around it all makes sense now. Anyway, a day on the road with some snacking in between, holding hands and just appreciating our surroundings. Yes, you guessed it…J made another pasta dish (God bless him for making sure we always eat good food I mean it was either him or Jamie Oliver). Honestly,
such a good dish.

Just a random day to throw in here but I wanted to share a day of painting with my niece and nephew. I also spent the rest of the day finishing up he book I’m reading and rested. Also, currently dealing with swollen tonsils which is not fun at all.

October 17

Sabbath day things include some good coffee and a cinema date. We watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage starring one of the hottest man I always obsess over Tom Hardy. If you’re up for it, it’s about Eddie Brock is still struggling to coexist with the shape-shifting extraterrestrial Venom. When deranged serial killer Cletus Kasady also becomes host to an alien symbiote, Brock and Venom must put aside their differences to stop his reign of terror. It’s such a well-made movie!

I also recently got this Tea Tree Oil Blemish Cleanser to assist me in clearing up some old pimple scars on my cheeks which are not bad but I do want to somehow reduce the pigmentation. I’ll give an update on my next series!

Hope you enjoyed this series and I’ll catch you guys on my next one! Take care and remember…
