Inspired by my journey to clearing up some blemishes on my skin, I wanted to put a post together sharing my current investments that have been assisting in me in exactly that. This will be very brief yet informative. If you’re familiar with The Body Shop you know that it’s a British cosmetics, skin care and perfume company. The brand is all about cruelty-free inspired by nature and ethically made.
The first product I’ve been loving is the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask which is a mud-like textured face mask. It works to deeply cleanse and purify the skin by clearing clogged pores and releasing impurities and toxins. The key ingredients that I appreciate are the Green Tea Leaves from Japan that contains antioxidants and is also used to treat acne. The Bamboo Charcoal from Himalayan Foothills which absorbs minerals, toxins and other harmful substances from skin making it stronger and healthier. It’s also so good because it acts as a natural exfoliator to remove dead skin cells.
This mask changes colour as it dries and allows you to see the oilies as they get absorbed into the mask. I have seen that from reviews people use a brush for application, I prefer using my fingers and find that it applies smoothly and evenly enough. I love how I don’t experience any irritation (because some masks have caused some tingling on my skin). This is honestly the OG of masks. My skin instantly feels smooth, looks glowy and feels amazing. You want to remove both sebum and dead skin that can build up in the pores? This mask is the first detoxifying mask I’ve come across that takes care of both.

Another recent investment was both the Tea Tree Oil and The Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser. Made from the Community Trade Tea Tree Oil from Kenya which is known for it’s healing, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Also known for helping with acne and many skin diseases like psoriasis, eczema, etc.
I’ve noticed a few blemishes on my skin and wanted a product to assist in reducing them and so far these two have done exactly that. If you’ve noticed a few blemishes on your skin you can bet on these. The cleanser is so refreshing that helps my skin find balance. To top it off, The Body Shop’s tea tree face wash has to help oust grime to reveal more mattified, clearer-looking skin. I love these products because it deeply cleanses grubby faces, vegan, kind and gentle on blemished skin.
