Join me as I share some recent adventures I got up including watching The Matrix, the new movie 355, The King’s Ma, having some good food, a glimpse into a new project I’m working on, and yes, some sky views.
Just an easy going Sunday filled with skincare content scheduled to be done. I was so excited to have worked and posted my very first skincare reel on my Instagram account. I featured my current go-to mask [ Read Here: The Body Shop Edit ]. Later, a matrix filled night featuring an outfit to match the vibe. If you have not checked it out the new ‘The matrix Resurrections’ features Mr. Anderson, aka Neo, will have to choose to follow the white rabbit once more. If he’s learned anything, it’s that choice, while an illusion, is still the only way out of or into the Matrix. Neo already knows what he has to do, but what he doesn’t yet know is that the Matrix is stronger, more secure and far more dangerous than ever before.
I read some of the the reviews and clearly there’s a 50/50 feeling towards the movie release. A five star rate left a comment saying:
Despite what you may read/hear from other critics - you won’t be loaded down with anymore negatives from me.
I had finally given up on all my hopes and dreams of there ever being another Matrix release. Literally it took nearly the same two decades for me to give up those hopes as it did for WB to finally continue the story. Right about the time I quit googling “Matrix 4 news” - Google did me a solid by adding the terrific news to my feed.
Anyhow, I personally LOVE this movie.
Another who wasn’t too happy wrote,
This movie takes everything you loved about the matrix and turns it into a meta joke for the sake of lana not wanting Warner Bros to just make the movie themselves, she took the ball and ran over it with her car so that noone else could play with it.
Honestly I sat through this whole movie having gone in with low expectations and it still somehow disappointed me, I truly wish lana could have just accepted the warner helped the world see and appreciate the films.
If you watched the new ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
New week, new opportunities. I started the week off on a high and reflecting on ‘positivity’. Perhaps it makes sense to someone but, the antidot to negativity is not positivity, it’s warmth. Positivity tells a sad person that there is no reason to be sad. Warmth asks the person if they want to go get some ice-cream. Get it? Taking time out and doing what you want that will fuel you.
So excited for an upcoming project I’ve been working on. J has been so kind in assisting me in achieving and working through all the ideas I want to execute. I’m so excited for all the upcoming projects I’m working on and can’t wait for you guys to have a look at it. It’s just been busy days but through it all so worth it for all the goals to be achieved. I grabbed for food from one of our go-to spots, Turn ‘n Tender in Cresta.
Feeling all refreshed and ready for errands and day two of shooting content. In the midst of doing all the work we stopped by a vintage car show which was really cool. We found a coffee spot around Rosebank that sells EVERYTHING for R12! Unfortunately, they didn’t have milk alternatives but it was a good discovery for whoever wants to check it out. We did some editing at Starbucks and went to the cinema. We watched the release of 355 and yes, diversity and women all around. Just what I like. The movie is about a CIA agent Mason “Mace” Brown joins forces with a rival German agent, a cutting-edge computer specialist and a Colombian psychologist when a top-secret weapon falls into the hands of a group of mercenaries. Together, the four women embark on a breakneck mission to save the world while staying one step ahead of a mysterious figure who’s tracking their every move. The cast include the best including Penélope Cruz and Lupita Nyong’o.
Ending the weekend right and on a high. We did some content but finished everything earlier. We had lunch and stopped by to watch ‘The King’s Man’ which is about One man must race against time to stop history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds as they get together to plot a war that could wipe out millions of people and destroy humanity. J watched the first one which I’m not quick sure I’ve seen before. We went to Momo Kuro in Rosebank and had some good sushi and poke bowls. The food is now making a second appearance and still as good as ever [ Read Here: The Weekender Series – Garden Party, Sunflowers & Thai Food ].
See you on my next series.
