A year after my mom’s passing I received a white blazer she owned from Jo Borkett which happened to be a blazer that was part of a suit she wore to events like weddings and baby showers. Being young then I thought it’s probably a piece I’d wear when I’m a lot older like my 30s BUT still in my twenties and I am ready to style it. My mom would wear it with basic jeans, and a pair of fancy heels or flats and of course a good, statement bag (which my liking of it, I definitely got it from her. I love a good bag). The instant elevation of a statement bag and shoe and your outfit looks put together. I love how lightweight this blazer is and being a linen piece I will get a lot of wear out of it this summer or during the warmer weather.
The white color can be easily combined with numerous outfits, so trying it out with timelessly elegant separates or keep it stylish and trendy by teaming it with wide-leg trousers or skinny floral pants. It’s an ideal cover-up for your working hours. Believe me, there are many things that makes a white blazer such a must-have in any woman’s wardrobe. A tailored, sharp-cut, single-breasted jacket (once upon a time relegated to commonplace office attire) has eclipsed trend to become a must-have wardrobe staple. If you were to edit your closet to just five pieces – as seems to be the pinnacle of a life-less-complicated – a blazer would be a non-negotiable.
Ahead, are recommendations of pieces I would style or include in looks paired with a white blazer.
