The Weekender Series – Magazine Covers, BTS & Gallery Dates

In addition to blog more I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll include visuals of what I wore, views, location and food. I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll compile images from both the weekday and weekend. It’s a vlog but written, titled, the weekender.

Join me as I share what I recently got up to from recent behind-the-scenes for an upcoming project, catch up on some new movies, visit some galleries with my friend, braid my hair and obsess over the latest magazine issues.

A great start to my day was a light, refreshing meal and a cute surprise from J. I also watched ‘Wonder Boy’ which is a revealing documentary follows Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing as he brings his bold designs to life and goes in search of his originsIt was a good lift me up since you guys know I am obsessed with sunflowers. We went go-karting (it was my first time and I had so much fun) and yes I had motion sickness afterwards but it was all worth it.

Super excited for this project since it is my first time working with a female photographer. She actually approached me on Instagram and I was interested in what collab she was looking to do. I can’t wait to see how the final images look since it was shot on film. We had a really good late breakfast, early lunch at Kauai and what a Kauai date without my favourite greens drink? We watched the new Tom Holland movie Uncharted which is apparently about a game (J told me this and I had no idea). Okay, Uncharted is about a treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan recruits street-smart Nathan Drake to help him recover a 500-year-old lost fortune amassed by explorer Ferdinand Magellan. What starts out as a heist soon becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Santiago Moncada can get his hands on it. If Sully and Nate can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure — but only if they can learn to work together. For supper we went to Fish Monger which is not a stranger here. J ordered dessert and I opt for Starbucks instead.

I don’t remember the last time I put chemicals in my hair since I started my natural hair journey 3 years ago. I didn’t put much product just enough to allow the growth inside my roots to be straightened out. My sister has been into braiding and self-teaching so of course I volunteered. Later on we went to the cinema and watched Moonfall starring Halle Berry about the world standing on the brink of annihilation when a mysterious force knocks the moon from its orbit and sends it hurtling toward a collision course with Earth. With only weeks before impact, NASA executive Jocinda “Jo” Fowler teams up with a man from her past and a conspiracy theorist for an impossible mission into space to save humanity. Honestly, a bit disappointed.

It’s a girlfriends day out. It’s been a minute since my best friend and I did something outdoor-like. We decided to go check out some galleries, window shop and grab some lunch. Such a refreshing day out. We went to Everard Gallery (not a stranger here), Circa Gallery and BKhz. For lunch we went to Doppio Zero.

Some recent magazine issues I am obsessed over. Firstly, ah…can we take a moment for Zoe Kravitz. Okay, runway queen Naomi Campbell and the tennis sisters. Doesn’t get any better. I love a magazine cover with black women on it.

See you on my next series. Much love.
