Some may call it the vest and others the waistcoat but this chic piece is undeniably the ‘it’ trend. I’ve been finding street style looks on Pinterest, celeb street looks as seen on Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and even style bloggers. High-end brands like Miu Miu and Saint Laurent etc, have proved the capabilities of this piece. In addition to my edit with recommended shopping pieces [ Read Here: The Style Edit – Waistcoat]. I wanted to put together an edit showcasing my recent looks styling this chic piece with it’s huge comeback. There’s no rules with what to wear them with, really. Depending on your personal style you can invest in one similar which fits yet gives room or perhaps getting something similar and getting it tailored to create or fitted look. These are honestly anywhere high-end to the most affordable and spending time thrifting.
I recently invested in my first ever waistcoat from H&M and I’ve been enjoying the versatility of this piece. Worn as is or layered it just creates as overall chic look.
Look 1
Worn as is, is exactly this. This is obviously on the dressier side all thanks to the accessories like my bag and shoes. Elevating a classic denim look has certainly taken a new turn with this timeless piece. These are pieces I’ll have for a long time and have such a timeless feel to them.

Look 2
I actually saw this look on Pinterest from a style blogger and really enjoyed the contemporary chic feel is has. I mean, I could easily just have the waistcoat styled as it but the bandage top gives it a more fun feel. I always like the play on texture with the faux leather.

Look 3
I actually wore this look for my photoshoot featuring the Gonn product. The play on the silhouette that both the bottoms give and the waistcoat is what I enjoy most. You guys know I love an oversized look so it works great together and the waistcoat balances the look. A bold red lip instantly elevates the entire look and I’m ready to tackle anything and everything from meetings, coffee dates, and even a dinner date. For this post I wanted to feature it wearing pants that is a more fitted silhouette paired with a blazer and boots.

Look 4
I think this is my favourite look. No, it is my favourite look. This is so chic (yes, officially my overused word). Minimal, screams boss babe and trendy. I added a belt to elevate and give the look more depth.

I added a reel on my Instagram showing these looks. So if you’re interested you can check that out.
