The Weekender Series – Timeless Crafts, Werk & Gentle Reminders

In addition to blog more I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll include visuals of what I wore, views, location and food. I’ve introduced a new series titled ‘The Weekender’. I’ll compile images from both the weekday and weekend. It’s a vlog but written, titled, the weekender.

Join me as I share some recent experiences including back to office snaps, a visit to a Arts & Craft warehouse, trying out some new products, good food and some thoughts.

Be prepared to see more of these – bathroom selfies and elevator shots. Back to office or should I say the workspace has been the biggest adjustment for me as of late. I got so used to taking power naps at certain times of the day, throwing in some random activities in-between whatever else needed to get done but now it’s full on work. Which I don’t mind. But I’m glad my body is slowly adjusting to the shift in routine and all I need to do is make certain I don’t skip snacking and keeping hydrated. I visited an Arts & Crafts warehouse and yes, I’m obsessed. I saw a straw bag which I’m going back for since I wasn’t sure of the size but go big or go home, right? I’m definitely into the oversized one.

I started off with a wash day and since I recently got sent hair products from Mielle it’s all I’ve been using. I also started taking the Ultimate Hair Capsules that The Olio Store from Cape Town gifted me. So far, so good. Using these both the hair products and taking the supplements have improved my hair thickness and shine. The supplements are also great because it has Keratin so I know not only is my hair taken care of but my skin and nails. Later on, we went out for a late lunch at Doppio Zero. I also managed to score some really good pants from H&M which I’m excited to style.

23 April

I could not get much shots on this day since I’ve been busy on so many projects but I managed to of course get an elevator snap on my way out to H&M to exchange the size of pants I recently got.

28 April

What another long day of getting tasks done and committing to whatever projects I need to complete. Some ginger tea and a view is always good and ending the day with my favourite system booster from Kauai

2 May

It was a long weekend and it was Workers Day not sure what Bank Holiday it is overseas. We planned a chill day by trying out a new café around the Linden but the one we initially wanted to check out was fully booked so we went to the Bembom Coffee Shop and had cappuccinos and custard tart. We went bowling and of course J won but honestly, I didn’t do that bad. For lunch we went to Malt Barrel & Fire who is no stranger on here. We watched The Lost City featuring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

For this week’s series I wanted to share a thought I keep going back to. I want to remind you, whoever you are reading this that you are enough. The importance of focusing on yourself and those who genuinely love and accept you is really all you should be committed to. Whatever anyone has to say about you has nothing to do with you but the work they need to do within themselves. You do not have to change yourself to fit into someone’s perspective of who and what you should be. You, as you are, are enough. Always remember that.

Just another random thought, I recently watched the Viola Davis interview with Oprah and it hit home and gave me an eye-opening moment. Her book ‘Finding Me’ is definitely on my wish list. If you have not watched it yet, I highly recommend you check it out.

See you on my next series.
