Hi Loves! Yes, it’s another denim post but this time a more in depth styling one. And if you’re wondering why another post well, I just love me some denim jeans. You can also check out my denim declutter and my thoughts on these H&M beauts [ Read Here : The Style Edit – Denim ]. I’ll be styling all my looks using two of my current favourite curvy denims. The basic look – the most easiest, quickest way to style denim. Pairing denim with other basics is a direction you can never go wrong with. This look can be styled casually or can be elevated with heels, a statement bag and/ accessories. Another way to lift this look is with a classic blazer. My go-to look is either with flats or to make it dressier I reach out for a more minimal statement shoe to give the outfit a lift, paired with my favourite accent piece, earrings.
Another classic duo you can also never go wrong with. I swear for any minimalist a basic t-shirts and a neutral shirt is such important pieces to own. Buttoned down, buttoned up, buttoned halfway. Hey! You’ll look so out together when you’ve done the bare minimum.
This is definitely my Sunday kinda look. A comfortable basic tee paired with denim bottoms with a statement sandal. This look really pairs great with any day-to-day t-shirt (I always opt for my white basic) but to elevate and give the look more character I opted for a striped t-shirt. It’s a basic look but still looks like effort was put in. Another playful take on the look is pairing the outfit with a statement earpiece but a totally different print. I love mixing different patterns together and love the look of this.
I remember when the denim-to-denim trend was popping all over my timeline and I honestly wasn’t feeling it. I do try play around with it every once in a while but I know I’m not fully there with it, but although I am 50/50 with the trend I still wanted to incorporate a look I know most individuals would opt for and something you guys can try out and cater for most. With the denim-to-denim look I haven’t quite decided whether I like the tones to be similar, more on the lighter wash or opposite tones. With what I do have it’s clearly too different palettes. I love how the look locks in and paired with these light nude heels it’s a steal for me. I think I just really appreciate the contrast between these tones.
I’ve honestly been loving the ‘bandage’ look paired with denims / pants. I fell in love with the look sometime last year and just recently found images from my fashion files that have runway photographs from the Hermès Spring 2001 Spring Fashion Show that have looks with the fit and I died (well, not really). You can check out why I’ve been drawn to that style [ Read Here : That Hermès 2001 Look ] and how I plan on styling it year. For now, here’s a showcase of my favourite go-to look in styling the strapless bandage top paired with my favourite investment piece, a cardigan.
